Our two public search engines use decades of adverse event reports from EudraVigilance (Europe) and VAERS (USA). Anyone can look up what has been reported about a drug or vaccine, without a login, a paywall or a gatekeeper. It costs about £2 a day to keep that true.

Why a free drug and vaccine side effects search engine matters

If you've ever wondered what a medicine might do, or felt brushed off when you asked, you know how hard it is to find straight answers. The data is public, but it is buried in databases built for regulators, not families.

HowBad.info and HowBadisMyBatch.com put that data in your hands. You can:

• See every drug ranked by how often any symptom is reported, and every symptom ranked by drug, using 20 years of European data
• Search 40 years of vaccine reports
• Check which medicines contain aluminium, mRNA, DNA or self-amplifying RNA
• Compare options before you or your family make a decision

I don't tell you what to decide. I make sure you can see the information when you decide. Reports show what has been reported, not proof of cause, so the tools are best used to ask better questions of your doctor.

Where your donation goes: hosting, research and running costs

Your support pays for the basics that keep the site online and the research going:

• £300 / year: web hosting, so the site stays live
• £300 / year: internet access for research and uploading new data
• £100 / year: electricity

That's £700 for the whole year. There is no team, office or overhead.

What's next: an adverse event reporting form, community surveys and more search engines

With your help I'll build:

• A global reporting form where anyone, in any country, can report a reaction to any drug, vaccine, herb or supplement
• Local community surveys that families, churches, classrooms and neighbourhoods can run themselves, giving an early-warning record independent of any government system
• More search engines: US FAERS data, veterinary medicines, and herbal medicines and supplements ranked the same way as drugs.
